Facebook has agreed to acquire the messaging service WhatsApp worth USD 19 billion, the process is not final because it is still awaiting approval from regulators. But a privacy agency requested that the acquisition was blocked.

Institute of Electronic Privacy Information Center and the Center for Digital Democracy (EPIC) cast a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission regulators in the United States, which called for the acquisition of Facebook to WhatsApp investigated.
